Review of Lineman
Lineman
One thing about me is all it takes for me to want to see this movie is a good movie poster. And I saw this poster and I instantly wanted to see it, and I am so glad I did because this is such a heartwarming movie. It left me smiling at the end. This movie is the directed and written by Raghu Shastry, a talented filmmaker who previously brought us the delightful 'Run Anthony '.
This movie takes a unique twist as it follows a group of people in a village who want to throw a birthday party for the village's midwife. However, on the day of her birthday, the lineman discovers a bird's nest right next to the power switch and decides not to turn the power until all the eggs in the nest have hatched. The rest of the movie unfolds as the lineman tells the village that he will not be turning the electricity on, and we watch what happens to the village as the villagers deal with no electricity.
I was thoroughly entertained by this movie. Its funny, the story is super unique, and as I mentioned before, heartwarming. It made for a perfect watch on a sunny Sunday afternoon. This is definitely a family movie that everyone can enjoy.
