Okay, so maybe it's not as useful as saving a life like a doctor or as cool as driving a 1982 Pontiac Trans Am—which is a stick shift, might I add—but that's still a skill I’d love to have. Back in the day, I was an avid Pop Culture Happy Hour podcast fan. One of the hosts, Linda Holmes, is the author of the book I’m reviewing today. From the moment I heard Linda’s voice coming through my headphones, I knew I had found my people—she had the voice of an older sister who always has your back. Review of Funny Story by Emily Henry

Heartbreak is such a shitty thing to go through, and there are so many phases: the disbelief, the anger, the crying, the bargaining, and the wondering what you could have done anything better. And then eventually the pain dulls and you start to see a path forward. And it's usually around that phase when I'm ready to devour all the Romcoms I can and attempt to believe in love again. That's where a book like "Funny Story" by Emily Henry comes in handy.
